Peter Strout Building Inspector Salem City Hall One Salem Green Salem, MA 01970 RE: 16 Cloutman Street Dear out: Please be advised that I am still receiving many complaints relative to the above-captioned property. It has been brought to my attention that one or more of the three bedroom units are allegedly housing more than three unrelated people, in violation of code. I have spoken with the owner/landlord, Penny Vandell, who indicates that she is renting to only three people per unit. However, there is a tremendous amount of activity at the property and, at last count, 18 motor vehicles are parked there on a continual basis that are allegedly associated with the house. Please also be advised that Ms. Vandell is selling the property and a closing date is scheduled for sometime at the end of April. Therefore, would you kindly investigate this matter at your earliest convenience and inform me as to your findings. As always, your assistance is greatly appreciated. Very truly yours, Joan B.
