Applicant's Description of Work:Our current electrical connection is not up to code, and in order to
complete work (installing downspouts) previously approved per HCCA-23-5,
which includes moving the electric point of contact, a set of electrical work
will be needed.
There are 3 parts to this work:
* Upgrading the current meter. The meter we have does not have an
external cutoff, which is current code. This requires a larger box as per
electric company. We would also as part of this work to upgarde to a
200amp box from a 100amp box, since the box will have to be replaced
either way.
* Replacing the conduit above the meter. Our current conduit is 1.5" wide,
it needs to be 2" wide. Replacement will be similar painted material, and
will be painted the same color as the home as is the current conduit.
* Moving the point of contact to the left rake on the front face. Due to the
placement of windows on the home and a 3 foot distance requirement,
there is no area on the left side of the home where the meter currently
resides. In order to minimize wiring on the front face, the conduit will
remain on the side of the house (eventually obscured by the copper
downspout), and run a 90*. angle along the roof 's rake beneath the
downspout's gap.
Additional work:
We will be upgrading to 200amps from 100amps in order to support
shifting our kitchen from gas to electric, as well as replacing internal
breaker boxes to be up to code. Neither of these alterations are visible
from outside of the home, but I wanted to bring up since they are listed in
the statement of work.
