Dear Owners:
This Department has received and investigated complaints regarding the condition of
your building. The front porches are again in need of repair.
State Building Code 780 CMR, Section 103.1 requires a building owner to maintain all
parts of a structure in good working order. Section 115.2 requires the building owner to
arrange for an inspection of the building.
Therefore, you are directed to contact this office upon receipt of this letter to arrange for
an inspection of all areas of your building.
If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, your appeal is to the Board of Building
Regulations and Standards in Boston, Ma. The penalty for building code violations is up
to $1000.00 per day and/or 1 year in prison.
