14 Cleveland Street Dumpster Complaint Letter 1-12-2021 RECEIVED

CITY OF SAi_EIVI
BOARD OF HEALTH
TO: Salem Health Department
To Whom It May Concern,
I am extremely tired of calling the Health Department and Tom St Pierre and complaining about the
dumpster that is on the side of 14 Cleveland Street,Salem Ma. It has been there for at least three years.
It is filled to the top and beyond and is attracting mice and rats. I have read the city ordinance about
dumpsters-Section 24-23 and nothing about this dumpster is compliant.
I do not feel there was ever a permit for this dumpster and we look at it from the deck of our house on
15 Story Street. If there are any questions about this dumpster, Brittany Dolan saw it when she did a
site visit for the Conservation Committee on Cleveland Street awhile ago! lam not sure but I think 14
Cleveland Street may be in foreclosure but that is no excuse not to have the dumpster removed.
I have pictures and videos of contractors coming to the dumpster in trucks and climbing a ladder to add
more items. They are now putting cement items on the side of the dumpster because there is no room
left. It is totally overflowing. There are trash bags at the bottom that have food in them.
I pay a very large amount of taxes on my property and the Health Department said they would check it
out and call me back. No one ever gets back to me!
Please let me know why this dumpster is not being removed.
Thank you.
