The complainant's residence, which is also the closest residence to the car wash, is 15 Ropes Street in Salem, MA. Sound meter readings were taken in the morning and in the evening. The sound source under investigation was the blowers at the end of the automated car wash. These blowers are used to dry cars as they exited the automated car wash. The car wash blowers turned on and off intermittently as cars went through the car wash, so sound level readings for when the sound source is on also rose and fell intermittently.
