Due to a complaint received by the Neighborhood Improvement Task Force, I
conducted an inspection and found the following violations:
1 . It appears to this Inspector that the property is being used to run a
construction business, which is not a permitted use in a residential
district.
2. Backhoes, trucks, and sanders can not be stored in a residential district.
3. Unregistered vehicles must be removed from property.
4. Debris under existing deck must be cleaned up (tires, ect. ) .
5. Construction debris is being dumped illegally at rear of property.
6. Construction debris and equipment being stored illegally on property.
7. Temporary permit for a deck was issued on September 1, 1989. A final
inspection was never called for.
Please notify this department within fifteen ( 15) days upon receipt of
this letter, to inform us as to what course of action you will take to rectify
these violation. Failure to do so will result in legal action being taken
against you.

tions at the above referenced property.
' Upon inspection, the property was found to be in violation of the City
of Salem Zoning Ordinance and Massachusetts State Building Codes (building
without a permit and an addition of a deck on the rear of the house) .
Also, there are several unregistered motor vehicles on the property, all
of which Fire Prevention will be notified of.

Dear Mr. Beyea,
This will serve to confirm our, on site conversation with regards to
your fire damaged residence located at 33 Clark Street.

Due to the structural damage to the building caused by the fire, upon
inspection I have determined that it is dangerous and unsafe and
beyond rehabilitation, and notice of it's condition has been duly posted.
In view of the above, I must order you, within fifteen (15) days, to
obtain the necessary permit's and see to the demolishion of the
building and provide the necessary safe guards to protect the safety
of the public.
Mayor Salvo has asked me to express his regret's over your loss, and
has requested that this office assist you in anyway that we can
be of service.

In accordance with Chapter 26, Section 105 of the Salem Code of Ordinances, I
hereby grant your request for a waiver of both curbing and sidewalks based on the.
following:
1. No curbing or sidewalks presently exist in the area,
2. Drainage will not be adversely affected.
