The foundation insulation has been noted as 2"thick extruded polystyrene foam insulation which has an R value of 7.5 per inch. The total value of 15 is 50%better than the R-10 required by the Stretch Code. The rest of the building is being designed to meet or exceed the Stretch Code in all. aspects. 'We were preparing to submit final documents later this week but the Owner has made some last minute plan changes and exterior changes which require drawing modifications. We are working toward getting the final plans submitted well in advance of the foundation completion to allow you the time for a full review prior to issuing a building permit. When we are done with these final changes we will be able to complete the MEP drawings and submit a comprehensive ComChek commercial energy report for the envelope and the systems. The pre-engineered steel building will not change since it is fabrication and scheduled for delivery to the site in late April. We appreciate your consideration in allowing Peter Varone to proceed with the foundations while we make the final building modifications. UTS Testing of Stoneham, MA has been engaged to perform re-bar inspection and concrete testing for the duration of the foundation construction and we have placed your department of the distribution list for test reports.
