(one layer composition): 2" x 10" rafters at 16"o.c., with roof slope distance 18'-2"; pitch
36 deg.; for mounting of solar panels and their installation will satisfy the structural roof
framing design-loading requirements of the Massachusetts building code —780 CMR
Residential Code 8th Ed.
For the installation of the Portrait solar mounting, the Unirac Solarmount rails with
EcoFasten Green-Fasten with ECO-CP-SQ Bracket will be perpendicular to the rafters
with L-foot supports at 32" mas. spacing and securely fastened with 5/16" dia. x 3 '/z"
SSTL lag screws as shown on drawing PV-A03. All attachments are staggered amongst
the framing members. For the installation of the The mounting system has been designed
for wind speed criteria of 100 mph Exp. C and ground snow criteria of 40 psf.
