Ordinance.
:%e petitioner appealed to this Board. and on Saptember ld,
1951 at 7:30 p.m, in the offics of the Tnapeotor of Buildings,
OityHa-110 3a.1= a meeting of the Board of Appeal was held
pursuant to notxess mailed postpaid to the petitioner, the
abutters and others, and as advertised in the Salam Evening
Hees on Auguat 25 and 39, 1961.
Attorney Philip �'. Durkin appeared in behalf of the petitioner
'F and__ezplained that the dwelling consists of nine rooms with
five roosts and bath on the first floor and four rooms with
bath on the seoond floor, that a kitchen sink and an eleetric
range would be installed on the second floor; that there Would
be no physical Chanes to the exterior of the dwelling, that
a the petitioner is vixty-nine years of age, has boon *epicsly
ill and is unable to return to work, and that granting of the
Peron mould rslievo a phyaioal and mental as well as financial
hardship. As further otated that ten finiliea in the area had
been Consulted and none opposed tto proposed variance,
after due eonstdarxtion thereof, the Board, by a unanisxea
-I` ate of all five members present and voting, on the grouadst
that the proposed Change would alleviate a hardship, would
not substantially change the nature and character of the area,
and that the granting of the permit would not substantially
derogato from the intent of the Ordinance.
